State Awards for Achievements in 2022 presented by DFGC on June 21st, 2023:

1st Place Awards

National Award (2022-2023)

Coastal Gardeners was a recent recipient of a $1,000.00 grant awarded by National Garden Club (NGC) - PLANT AMERICA.  Project grants to NGC member clubs help educate adults and children about the joys of gardening and create a pride throughout the community. Since 2017, more than 250 grants have been awarded to garden clubs across America and Coastal Gardeners is very happy to be amongst the most recent grant recipients.

 

Coastal Gardeners partnered with Healthy Food for Healthy Kids (HFHK) of Hockessin, DE and Phillip C. Showell Elementary School in Selbyville to teach elementary students how to grow and harvest fresh healthy vegetables. Phillip C. Showell Elementary School has about 300 students, kindergarten through 5 grades. The grant will be used to support the direct expenses for this project.
